Ill-timed Hamburg/Katy ride in the rain/sleet/snow - a very challenging combination where I ended up soaked w/ a frozen shell on all exterior surfaces (including mittens, sleeves and legs). Felt decent enough but w/ each mile the bike got more and more ice/grit covered. Derailleur seized and threatened to snap so bagged it. Not the miles I needed.

Easy cruising around track w/ one stop to address daughter's tears (this is SO hard, my belly hurts, etc.). A hug and "no big deal, just slow down, that's normal, that's just you getting stronger" didn't exactly cheer her up but she calmed down anyway and finished out the session.

KM3 class. Grappling and knife defense (disarming an attacker) using fake knives that beep and light up when you're "stabbed". Creepy! But a good training tool. I was stabbed a bunch.
