Run around hotel neighborhood - a surprisingly open and scenic business park leading to a cute town center (Carmel) with an ice sculpture contest and outdoor skating rink. Then a little on the Monon greenway. Sunny, breezy and delightful. Easy cruising, felt fantastic!

Outdoor rink w/ daughter and one of her "hockey sister" friends. Possibly the worst rental skates ever - zero edges. Fun setting w/ great tunes though. Logging half time.

The POWER TEST. Long overdue - was def interested in seeing where I was at. Wendy thought I could maintain an avg of 200w over the 20 min. and that seemed doable...until 13 min. in. I just could not hold it together despite the great encouragement of the whole room and I ended at a disappointing 185w. I think that primarily reflects lackluster training w/ a minor contributing factor of an off day. But I gave it my all - it was a legit all-out effort. So I need to take the honesty of those numbers and use them to propel me to some improved training efforts. I know I can do better!
