Day 1 at Hill Park Dale. Did the first 3 ok, and passed Rachel halfway to #3. Screwed up #4 missing the control going too high. No huge mistakes until #9, I zoned out and ended up coming in too early. I thought it would be pretty clear if I was in the wrong spot but the ground was not as distinctly different as the map was. Wasted about 5 minutes searching for #9. Not too bad through 9-12. #13 I stopped to look for the control halfway up the hill when I should have been right at the top. #16 was bad as well, control descriptions said rock surface, but the control was tucked between the boulder fields next to the rock surface. Ended up 15 minutes behind Craig, but not as far down the results as I thought I would be, apparently other people found it difficult too.

Orienteering training at ECU Joondalup. Relocation activity this week, it was a lot more stimulating doing it in the first session on a new map. It got progressively harder as it got darker.
