Event: HVO A-Meet

Went for a run at the track meet, feet felt fine. Ran more than I expected.

swimming 1:02:00 [3]

Went to UCSC practice instead of open swim because I wanted to get to the meet in time to see Ali's 1600. I missed it anyway, because I drove by a street I was supposed to be looking for and didn't notice! Luckily, I had a catching feature, but it was about 10 min. past my road!

450 warmup
6x100 odds were 50 kick 50 swim, evens were 50 drill 50 swim
100, 75, 50, 25; 75, 50, 25; 50, 25; 25 kind of IM order, but they drop off from the front.
10 50's on 1:05
10 50's on 1:00; this used to be no problem for me! I evened out at about 7 sec rest and breathing hard but not dying.
500 cooldown

Total: about 3100 yards (confusing math)

My adductors and fronts of my ankles were sore, and Crowe says that's from running fast. He also said that the workout was intended for me to barely be able to hit my times, so I guess I did well! Today, it was a little uncomfortable running, but I was fine. I did stop at 1 hour because my left foot was hurting a little, but I stretched it and it felt better. I expect it to be better tomorrow.

Also, there was a mixup on the meet; it was today, so I didn't run because of my workout yesterday. I guess it's better for my training not to have to do a pre-meet.

2x (4 400's), 400 rest between them, 800 between sets.
My first workout since January, and I hit all my times!

1:29, 1:29, 1:29, 1:30
1:25, 1:23, 1:24, 1:25.

I don't know how hard this workout was supposed to be, because everyone else was either at the meet or on the roads today, but I was dead tired on the last 2-3 400's.

I think the foot's completely better, at least on level ground, but I don't want to jinx myself. But I am running in the 4x8 on Friday!

Warmup, cooldown, and recoveries. Warmed up with the team, the rest on my own. Around Heman Park, a lot slower during the cooldown.

Felt better on my cooldown than on the steady state.

running 45:53 [3] 6.0 mi (7:39 / mi)

Steady state. 1st 2 were 15:37, next 3 were 22:56, last was 7:20. I felt so tired on the hills! Otherwise it was okay, except that I got out-kicked by an old man at the end. I guess that's not bad; at least he made me run faster.
