COC Sprint at U of C
Lots of good routechoice legs around large buildings. The ending had some trickier stuff which was tougher because I got pretty tired. Still a clean run :D
Very different than JWOC sprint!

Orienteering race (Sprint) 13:20 [5] 3.07 km (4:21 / km)

GPS Distance
COC sprint relay with team DGL! Nicole leg off with a solid first leg, followed by Hammer who closed the gap. Jan Erik closed it even more and I held us off to finish in 2nd overall and top club team! A super fun way to end the weekend!!

Enormous thank you to every single organizer and volunteer this weekend for pulling everything together last minute with all the hectic changes. Everything was super smooth, organized and enjoyable. Thanks!!

shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280 (2)

Stretching warm up/down 5:00 [1]

Orienteering race (Long) 1:10:12 [4] 8.2 km (8:34 / km)
shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280 (2)

COC Long
Went better than yesterday!
After a small bobble on 1 where Darya caught me, I nailed 2-4. Blew up 5 but was able to re-focus and nail the rest of them.
The woods still perplexed me in places but I kept my cool and slowed down when I needed to.
GPS to come

Running warm up/down 5:00 [1]

Stretching warm up/down 5:00 [1]

Orienteering race 1:12:03 [3] 3.8 km (18:58 / km)
shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280 (2)

COC Middle
WRE so no actual distance, but with all the mistakes and bailing out I did I probably doubled it.
Couldn't figure out the bland areas, and always missed my attackpoints since large wide hills were so hard to see. I used my compass a lot but even then I never knew when to stop since there was nothing to catch me. Besides the first three which were great, my brain just wasn't in it... awfulness.
Goals for tomorrow: don't do what I did today ;)
- look up really well on compass.
- use trails if I can
- chose smaller hills as AP since they're more visible
-Slow down

Note
(sick)

Went to Johnston Canyon and hiked (almost) all the way to the Ink Pots and back. Fairly flat for the first part, then some climb up and down. Absolutely stunning.

Core 10:00 [1]
