Climbing 2:00:00 [3]
shoes: Mythos

Back at the Gunks! A beautiful day out with Laura, Todd, Mark, Marek, Peter, Cheyenne and Cody. Top-roped Retribution, Nose Dive, Apoplexy, with ease. Attempted Low Exposure, which was an overhanging crack climb (crack at the roof). A good challenge which definitely got the best of me (and the skin on my arms). Was still thinking about it the next day.

Led the first pitch of City Lights. Slipped a little at the start but like to think I caught myself. Was well-rewarded with a comfortable ledge, gorgeous view and perfect breeze from which to belay Marek. Was fun to play with ropes and gear again.

Orienteering 1:30:00 [3]
shoes: Mammut Borah DLX

Ward pound ridge is magical in the late spring. Weather was perfect. My navigational skills are pretty much terrible. O is like golf (for me) in the sense that if you pick a pretty place, then you can still manage to enjoy yourself even after your game has gone to crap. Maybe there are broader applications of that statement...

Orienteering (Bar-O) 20:00 [3]

Awesome sprint in Manhattan, courtesy of Angela. Bars for the second and last control points. Lovely sunset along the Hudson. Surprised by an old friend at the finish who was in town for a conference. Fun night.

Running 30:00 [4]
shoes: Mythos

OMG the air here smells so good and flows so much more freely, it seems. It's night and day running here vs. in the tropics. Nice to be running around the neighborhood again, but the pavement is hard. Need to get onto grass.

Tennis 1:00:00 [4]

Managed to play somewhat decently and without hurting my climbing wrist! Unfortunately, I think I compensated with my upper arm a bit. Lower part of bicep a little sore, but not bad. This bodes well for picking up tennis again. Missed having a sport where you get to whack at balls.
