kayaking race (Bruce Peninsula Multispor) 1:47:48 [4] 13.5 km (7.5 kph)
You better believe it took me that long to paddle <14 km with an Epic V6.
Fastest TA at 2:36!
***shortened paddle due to weather***
biking race (BPMR) 1:42:00 [4] 32.0 km (18.8 kph)
Worked my way up the ranks on the bike. Super fun, super fast. I basically yo-yoed with Janel until she took off just out of reach. She is great!
Second fastest TA @1:50 - Janel beat me by 2 seconds!!!
trail run race (BPMR) 58:28 [3] 8.0 km (7:19 / km)
technical, fun and zippy running. I got turned around once in there but otherwise it was pretty uneventful except that I got to see FB. :)
3 minute TA and third fastest. I couldn't find the truck to drop my bag. (I'm not sure why I'm obsessed with my TA's?!)
biking race (BPMR) 1:18:00 [4] 24.0 km (18.5 kph)
Bike no. 2 I shit the bed on my TA bags and didn't have enough bike fuel for this ride. Thankfully the bike TA had liquid fuel but that meant I was going into the run hungry...
TA 2:02 - fastest
trail run race (BPMR) 1:51:33 [4] 16.0 km (6:58 / km)
ate a sandwich out of the TA and felt much better. I hadn't planned to feel this spent going into the race but my crap paddle forced me to work way harder on the bike. Part of me thought I could *maybe* catch Karine on the run (but only because at dinner the night before she said running wasn't her strength) but in reality, she killed the run and was much further ahead. Longest run in a while and it was stinking HOT! I was feeling the day 7km into this run but I kept a steady pace and was super happy to see the winding staircase.
Solid effort and so great to see so many friends. Super grateful for everyone that helped me get to the start line. Hank was the real champ with his first overnight at Nana's. I know I say this often but it legit takes a village to allow us to keep doing these silly things.
