Excellent course with so many magical views it was almost sensory overload for me. Very technical (think Killarney, it reminded me so much of the LaCloche area) and some good muddy sections.
Aid stations were pimped out with all sorts of goodies and warm people. Weather was perfect. It was nice to run in sunshine and to actually need water.
Ryan Atkins did the 50miler and came in 6th! I saw him on the course with 15km to go and he looked effortless. He had a huge smile and was so light on his feet. His plan was to do the Ocup today too. Which he did. I know, right?! Is he a ninja?
