Seaton Trail Race
-lucked out AGAIN with perfect weather..shorts and a tank

I had no idea how beautiful Seaton was...the course was out and back twice which included a waterfall view and a fun river crossing - the crossing was fun the first 3 times but by the fourth my blisters were out of control and it hurt to be in water. Obviously the blisters had NOTHING to do with my new runners and may have had something to do with the way I put the compression sock on...(I thought I felt some bunching a little early in the game). Awesome course - fun single track and some great climbs. My garmin measured just over 54km but that might have had something to do with my wrong turn I took on the first out - luckily I realized it only 500m in.

Bobby timed it right and ran me in the last 1km...perfect. Awesome environment finishing on the track ATB style. Made 2 new trail friends yesterday - nevermind that they are 2 times my age...we're on first name basis.

Adventure Race race 6:26:37 [3] 30.89 mi (12:31 / mi) +777m 11:37 / mi

Frontier Adventure Challenge - Beautiful day to be outside and tons of laughs with team Funderstorm. Highlights included a minor boat rescue (we couldn't leave them knowing there was no water safety patrol...), no snake encounters, and the beautiful sunshine.

I feel a little bit disappointed with the placement of the cps in the 'rogaine' section of the course and the miscommunication from the course designer himself. I also feel really sorry for first timers out there who will end up with a DNF - 8 hours on the shortcourse is not realistic for a first timer :(

In the end, I was happy to be outside in the gorgeous sunshine, cross the finish line with the music pumping and totally satisfied with the number of laughs out there. Thanks ladies.
