skate ski 2:00:00 [3]

Getting better and more comfortable. I have developed these 2 tiny new things called biceps. I like them.
Tried for a snowshoe run after but bailed after 10 minutes. Too cold :(

skate ski 1:30:00 [3]

Second time out, new location and much better conditions :)
I'm totally getting the hang of it. Spent half my time without poles to get the feeling of gliding. Great idea. Hello hips! Hello shins!
Skate Skiing...where have you been my whole life?!?

Boston plan in effect come Monday. FML.

skate ski 1:30:00 [3]

This is logged as a 3 because I've never quite felt the burn like this. I feel parts of my body today that I didn't know existed. I'm in love.

First time out, kept my balance. I did do the splits in front of the U of T Varsity Nordic team - no big deal.
4 PM

Road run 1:00:00 [3] 11.5 km (5:13 / km)

- gravel rail trail (getting there), some road, a very nervous run - poor ankley :(
- one good climb (beat by the baby jogger), awesome company

Wednesday Jan 4, 2012 #

road ride 2:30:00 [2] 60.0 km (2:30 / km)

- flat road riding - considering a comeback.
- minor flat delay but after a third attempt, a sweet(ish) lady helped us with a patch. The spare had a hole :(

kayaking 2:30:00 [2] 18.0 km (7.2 kph)

Incredible paddle through Everglades National Park. Second time kayaking - Not bad. I believe it started like this "Bobby are you out of your fucking mind?"
I managed to get through the day with only 3 minor panic attacks :) The first was from a friendly manatee, the second was a school of fish that jumped in front of the boat and at one point when I realized we were in the middle of the ocean. After a couple fbombs and some serious coaching, I was fine. The eerie mangroves and amazing wildlife were totally worth the worries!

SUPPING on Captiva Island! Wooohooo
Stood until the end and then I did a face plant :)
It's only a 3 because I've never worked my core/arms so hard!
