Tallinn Botanic Gardens sprint.
Was orienteering like an idiot! Kept ignoring my compass/not looking at it properly and then drifting way off line. Also my calves tightened up and my arches started to hurt too, so not moving very fast. But it was fun :)

Got up early to see the winning teams finish in the Jukola and then later Jack finishing for EUOC. Travelled to Estonia.

Venla first leg.
Best thing I have done for a while. The mass start was so fun! Very long run out but managed to overtake lots of people, not fall over, and hold it together when we entered the woods. The whole course I was with other people but I was doing my own navigating and finding the correct control (lots of gaffling) first time. Was a bit frustrating having so many people there in front of you as I think I probably could have ran a little bit faster the whole way but there was always someone in the way. Lost about 40s at 8 when I passed a control on a boulder and thought I was at a different boulder on the map, so overshot and had to go back. Probably lost at least 20 places because of that but I was pretty happy overall with my run when I came back.
The team did really well and came 154, yaay (we started in 667!)

Jog to the arena from where we were camping and then a little explore of the run out. Also lots of drills, usual stuff...

Jukola training area.
Started off slow, getting into the map and warming up a bit. Was with Kirstin til 7. Good, chatting about what we could see and how things were mapped/routes to take. Split up for the long leg and I was glad I did some by myself, had to be more confident and keep going. Felt good running and ankle was fine.

Had headaches from Thursday. Felt better on sunday but then worse again mon and today. Think it could have been stress?
