L Lower Leg, Shin Splints

Still not sure if this is shin splints or if part of my calf muscle is just really over worked. Heck, maybe that is what shin splints are. Feels like a tight muscle knot on the inside of my left leg, halfway between the knee and ankle. Hurts more in the morning just after waking up. Once I start running and get warmed up it does not hurt as much but it is still there.

I put off logging it for 2+ weeks because I did not want to admit that I had a problem and I am also not sure what exactly is going on.

I wore a neoprene calf/shin sleeve during my runs. I am still wearing it on my runs though there is little to no pain. Stretching and ice also helped.
