R Lower Leg, Calf Strain

calf muscles both felt tight when i started running this morning and then less than a mile into run the right one suddenly strained pretty significantly. very sore the rest of the day.

pain free after 8 days of icing, massaging, and rest. started running again after 5 days off and pain was gone completely by the 8th day.
