Pain on the side of big toe. Initially thought it was a bruise from a stone but hasnt really subsided. Believe that it could be from low strength of toe foot region. After speaking with foot expert, have replaced insoles and have suggestions on regualr exercises to carry out.
Able to run on still, with no major pain but dont feel comfortable running hard unless well warmed up. When running on toes and long extensions can feel tight and a bit painful.
I believe that a compbination of bad shoes, soles and little conditioning resulted in the injury. Now I train often with more comfortable shoes, that have less pressure on the toes, I wear a stiffer and arch supporting sole, and also carry out exercises regularly, from calf raises (slow down), walking on in and out sides of feet, and massaging.
