Pain on the big toe, towards the medial line of the foot. Small linear bruising visible from final knuckle. Not sure of cause. Ok walking in boots and standing by Wed, and fine cycling, but tender to the touch. No idea what triggered it.
Probably interphalangeal sprain. Touch of rest/cross training was all that was needed.
