R Foot, Ankle Sprain

Rolled the ankle and sprained it pretty badly at km 45 of UTMB. Got up and tried to run on it again, but it rolled again. Taped it (2 stirrups with leukotape) and seemed to be able to run on it. Did the rest of the race. A fair amount of swelling, including swelling halfway up the outside of the right shin. Also a dark bruise at the crease of the ankle, from about 11:00 to 3:00 position (if 12:00 is front). Strange - the bruise was perfectly straight across with exact 90 degree square ends, yet this didn't align with anything specific in the shoe etc.
Took one 500 mg naproxen a couple of hours after it happened, but didn't take more because I didn't want to be too hard on my kidneys.

Even though this looked horrible after the race and I ran about 120 km on it after spraining it, this didn't seem to make the injury last longer. It still healed in a few weeks.
