Greater Trochanteric Pain Syndrome; pain on the outside of the upper thigh. Inflammation of the tissues that lie over the the bony prominence (the greater trochanter) at the top of the thigh bone (femur).
Can be caused by repetitive movements involving the hip area.
Rest, anti-inflammatory (Naproxen) and pain killers (Paracetamol) initially. Possibly cortisone injections and physiotherapy if conditions persists.
Rest, Naproxen and Paracetamol
