L Knee, Other

2007-02-21 – 2008-03-04

Grade: 1

Wuhu hurt the other knee, think it might be IT band issue, but need to find out for sure. Will keep it posted.

------------------------
March 20, 2007:

Went to Orthopedic today he checked my knee out gave me Lodine 500Mg pills as an anti-inflammatory to reduce fluid around my knee. He suspects since I have some sensitivity on the inner side of the knee joint, I may have torn the meniscus in that knee.

I'm scheduled for an MRI tomorrow (03/21/2007) and a follow up on 03/27/2007.

------------------------
03/27/2007:

Well they found out I have a torn meniscus (moderate-sized oblique inferior surface tear of the posterior horn of the medial meniscus).

Since it is fairly new he told me to keep taking my meds and see him back in 3~4 weeks. I can keep training, but it looks like it could be a candidate for surgery, but he want's to wait and see (the area has to heal a more).

October 2007

Well the knee seems to be getting much better it no longer pops (well only every once and a while like twice a month if I'm unlucky) and I think I will be fine for now with out having surgery.

------
March 2008

Well the knee is working much better now, only thing when I start running I can tell it gets sensitive, I've been working my knees out to strengthen them so I think that has been helping. Main thing I notice is when I work out pretty hard or when it's cold out and the wild cools down my knees while biking it feels a little sensitive. But nothing I can't handle so I guess I'm done with this one.
