Grade: 2
Initial injury - fall on concrete sidewalk. cut, big goose egg, and lots of swelling/bruising.
Next 3 days - maintained planned swim/bike training volume but cut runs out (45min) or short (2:30 -> 2:00).
Raced 18hr AR with discomfort on trekking sections but not on paddling/biking.
Diagnosis by MRI: bone bruise to the patella
This injury never was terrible but was extremely slow to heal. Probably didn't help much that I didn't cut down my running volume until Week 4. Also didn't help that I re-injured it in a mtb crash Week 6. Ah, well. Now just trying to build up run volume.
