4. | Big Island generally went pretty well. I have been pretty lost there in years past.
5. | missed the path bend and kept going way too long.
6. | accurate but slow. | ||||||
7. | thought I was spiking it, but a little left at the end and saw the stone wall. Ernst was there as well, same bobble.
8. | Off stone walls and big rock - easy.
9. | A little compass blip. Came out on the trail and turned right, but I was confused when the trail turned north. Just not paying attention. I had thought it was going to be south for some reason.
10. | I ended up skipping this. I was too far NW on the hillside, and kept running into sharp re-entrants with water in them. After going between the original marshes on this leg I got on the unmapped MTB trail, because it was going generally where I wanted, except that I had intended to drop down between the long thin marsh and the squarish one, instead of W of the thin one. Much harder attack from there.
11. | Past WHNO #3 and not far from WHNO #13 on the way to this one. Stubbed my toe pretty hard on the hill before the control and wrenched my back, slowing me down quite a bit.
12. | And saw WHNO #2 on the way to this one. Not that proud of my route. Hit on the trail and wanted to go to a definite point on it. Somehow I didn't recognize the corner where I first came in.

14. | cut around the hill to go up the reentrant, but it was rocky and slow, so kind of a waste.
