1. | Took the small trail to the bend due W of control. Came in towards N side of circle, saw the rock to my left, and popped over right to it.
2. | Stayed low along the pond left of line, then around the spur.
3. | +02:00 | Must have gone right by this. When I got to a steep descent, I went back and it was right there.
4. | Saw the spur opening up, and rode it to the control.
5. | Abit right of line to get in flat terrain. Crossed between the marshes and hit main trail at open area. Then read the stone walls to the obvious attack point.
6. | +00:30 | I went down first, then contoured across. Crossed the stream a bit high but corrected immediately. Slow time suggests staying high would have been a better route choice (or I'm just especially slow going down steep stuff).
7. | Went a bit right of line where the running was OK. Came in at the cliff on the E side of circle, but corrected quickly.
8. | Swung right of line, just above the two cliffs, then contoured across.
9. | +08:00 | Stupid! I couldn't read the contours so I thought: it's a short leg, just head in the right direction, pace count, and figure it out when you get near. I didn't plan on being 100 m. to the right. After 3 or 4 failed attempts to relocate, I went to the stone wall and back in.
10. | +01:00 | I expected to come in to the left of the trail junction, but somehow missed it to the right and took the trail the wrong way until it was obvious (well, past where it should have been obvious!) that I was heading down too fast. Then, took trail to big trail to the bend, left of the big cliff, betwen the cliff and the little pond, right to it.
11. | Right of line over the saddle, then right to it.
12. | +00:20 | Never saw the little trail, so went to the road and back in. Slight bobble from the road.
