roar

1. P D P R 3 Handover didn't go well, with my incoming runner going to the completely wrong place while I was screaming at him. Once I got the map it was a good start. Nice and stable. Had a bit of nerves really and decided on the road around to simplify the control but straight would have been fine
2. D P R 4 A bit afraid of the green and decided on around. Wasn't bad, though I heard later the green was actually quite open.
3. P D P 4 +00:15Second guessing myself a bit. Had some fear of going straight and considered going around from the start. Followed the trains straight over the first hill but then went to the path. It didn't help as my line into the control was bad. Saw the OOB and corrected
4. P D P R 3 Better. Feeling a bit more agressive, using the hill to make the control big.
5. P D P R 4 Agressive and confident to go straight, nice elephant track after I made the decision. Legs not super energetic on the hill but ok. Picked up the open north of the line and led about 5 guys into it.
6. P D P R 4 Bit of lactic after the climb but felt ok once up the crag. Big trains coming from the left helped, though didn't really need it.
7. D P R 5 +00:20Maybe hardest leg on the course )I had the S rock) and I knew it. Should stay a bit left to avoid the green but I kept going right. Didn't see the other two gaffels but caught the open hill and curved into it.
8. P D P R 4 A little nervy after 7 so kept it safe for 8. Worked well, using the contour lines to lead me in.
9. P D P R 2 +04:30Oh god. Had all the paths lined up and was running hard. Started thinking about how to say how much fun I was having and mistook an elephant track for a real path. Alarm bells happened very quickly and I stopped. Couldn't work it out. Continued on my path and came to a junction, of which one of the paths was an elephant track. I paralleled myself on the map and went for it, super hesitantly knowing it seemed really off. Went to the hill top but couldn't make sense of it. Went to the other hill and could see the crags from the control I was at. Eventually figured it out but it was slow. Terrible, terrible leg. 347th/365 on the leg
10. P D P R 4 Got back in quickly. Excellent compass and using the re-entrant to line me up. Little slow at the start of the leg.
11. P D P R 5 Top simplification to use the big marsh, little wobble entering it but grand. Seemed to take a lot longer from the marsh to the control than I was expecting.
12. P D P R 5 Lots of people around now, but compassed and focused doing my own thing as I reckoned it would be heavily gaffled here. Fell off the crag and people passed me.
13. P 4 +00:20No real plan other than compass and it was a wobble, trying to get around crags. Straighter would be better.
14. P D P R 2 Follow the road and the people. Guy in front of me went through the olive #.
15. P D P 5 +00:15Suffered on this hill. Made the control simpler to take the pressure off the brain a bit. A little slower probably.
16. P D P R 5 Halden girl was trying to pass me down the hill but I was running hard. Mostly direction to the big hill but it felt super weird. Kept pushing and it worked well.
17. D P R 4 Looking at maps yesterday I had decided to go around. Did that and it made the control super easy. My legs didn't feel up for a big climb, though it probably wasn't big. Caught time on Johannes as he had trouble getting the control in the circle so maybe it wasn't all bad.
18. P D P R 1 17th on the split. Chasing Johannes
F. P D P R 0 Went a bit hard a bit early and suffered a lot for the last bit.
