| 1. | Around the swamp left mostly because I didn't realize I could have gone right quickly enough. | ||||||
| 2. | Straight out to the trail at the hunter stand and up to the big bend right. Cut off from there to the right side of the big hill and contoured in to just above the control. Saw it and dropped in. | ||||||
| 3. | +00:20 | Hit the trail just left of the line and cut off when it ended at the perpendicular trail. Cut across the stream just above the swamp and got lost in some nasty green on the other side. Had to cut up and around to the right to get into the other control. The map is probably missing some green in that area. | |||||
| 4. | +02:00 | Almost straight out to the trail between the two hills. Ran it up to the bend left and cut across the swamp. Thought I saw the big field to the left of the control when I came out so started to cut right across the swamp again. Don't know why I did that because there shouldn't have been any swamp between the field and the control, but I ended up on the right side of the swamp anyway before I was able to figure out what I had done and relocate. | |||||
| 5. | +01:00 | Cut straight out to the field and followed an elephant trail north to the big trail. Took the little trail right and into the control, but not before stopping way early to have a look around in some thick bush. I still can't figure out why I decided to stop so early when it clearly wasn't the right place... | |||||
| 6. | North to the trail by the lake. Ran that to the second big trail junction right next to the line. Took that to the right, then immediately left on the next trail, and in across the large pit and past the hunter stand. | ||||||
| 7. | Hit the lone tree along the way. | ||||||
| 8. | +02:00 | Plan was to cut out to the trail on the left and take it around, but for some reason decided to hit the big trail cutting across the line to get there. Then I realized it was a bit of a climb back up that trail to the trail around so I decided to cut directly into the control. This would have actually turned out to be a good route if I hadn't blown the control. I missed it left and ended up hitting the trail south of the control. Then I missed it again just right as I attacked from the south. Hit the reentrant just north of the control and relocated and attacked from there. | |||||
| 9. | Straight out to the trail and around to the little trail leading into the control. Cut over from the trail bend and ran between the two hill tops, dropping down into the control. | ||||||
| 10. | +00:15 | Cut too far right out of the control and hit the swamp. Ran around the top of it and cut up into the big, wide depression on the way to the control. Attacked off the cairn and across the ruined stone wall. | |||||
| 11. | Right out to the trail, then left at the first junction. Cut across just before the depression where the lines cross and hit the next little trail. Ran that to the end and cut straight off the end down to the stream, across and in. | ||||||
| 12. | Basically just straight on the line counting the reentrants in. | ||||||
| 13. | Down to the stream just right of the bridge, and across it to the trail. Just ran off the end of the trail and in. | ||||||
| 14. | Up and over the hilll to the trail on the far side. Crossed the stream on the trail just left of the line and cut off it at the bend where it cross the 19-20 control line. Crossed the next little trail and up and over the right side of the hill and in. | ||||||
| 15. | Pretty much just straight on the line picking up the cairn on the way. | ||||||
| 16. | Left aroudn the swamp to the little trail. Ran it to the end then took the next trail right to avoid the unmapped green I got stuck in on the way to 3. Cut off between the two little hills and then ran around the long one to the right. Cut straight through the green to where I could see the bottom corner of the field. Stayed below it until the green cleared then attacked left to the control. May have been faster to take a more direct route across the middle. | ||||||
| 17. | Straight back out to the trail and followed it all the way to the bottom left corner of the field at 17. Followed the elephant trail in. | ||||||
| 18. | +00:10 | Straight back out on the elephant trail to the trail and followed it around to the t-junction. Crossed the corner of the field and down into the woods to the next big trail. Cut up one reentrant too early but quickly recovered and spiked the control from there. | |||||
| 19. | On the big trail to the first trail junction. Followed that south to the next trail junctino and took that one right to the end. Attacked off thte end of that trail, across the stream and in. | ||||||
| 20. | +00:10 | Stayed right around the swamp picking up the stream as I went. Followed it to the little trail where it crossed the little stream. Got a little confused there and started to take the wrong trail to the right out of the big junction, but quickly corrected as I saw Vadim taking the other one. Attacked off the end of the trail catching Vadim as I came into the control. | |||||
