2. 180m 7:01 9 +5:30 363% 25.2 3:54 38:58   350m 8:57 9 +6:28 260% 25:34 Even with a bearing, I ended up playing at dummy controls.
3. 230m 6:13 10 +3:59 178% 37.3 2:08 27:01   580m 15:10 10 +10:18 212% 26:08 Too many contours and too many dummy controls, I stopped short of my own control. Relocating off the road below didn't help.
4. 510m 9:52 8 +5:02 104% 51.6 55 19:20   1090m 25:02 10 +15:20 158% 22:57
5. 350m 5:13 7 +2:35 98% 63.4 14:54   1440m 30:15 10 +17:55 145% 21:00
6. 720m 12:14 10 +6:08 101% 53.1 48 16:59   2160m 42:29 10 +24:03 130% 19:40 NE on unmapped logging road to trail system.
7. 380m 5:05 8 +2:28 94% 57.4 13:22   2540m 47:34 10 +26:31 126% 18:43 Going NE I got to trail as it entered open land, then trail run but went off trail a bit early in green, of course.
8. 210m 3:09 7 +1:39 110% 62.6 15:00   2750m 50:43 10 +28:10 125% 18:26 Straight bearing run that I messed up by going to dummy control in white which was above my control in green.
9. 310m 5:07 7 +2:13 76% 65.8 16:30   3060m 55:50 10 +30:23 119% 18:14
10. 530m 7:30 5 +3:09 72% 66.7 14:09   3590m 1:03:20 10 +33:32 113% 17:38 This was a nice long bearing run with water features (including well pump) and crosstrail instead of just contours contours contours. My placing tanked after this leg.
11. 330m 9:05 9 +6:11 213% 35.1 3:28 27:31   3920m 1:12:25 10 +39:43 121% 18:28 On the map this looked so simple, run to the top of the steep ridge. I must have drifted right and it took ages to find the N/S side of the ridge and then had to explore back each of the reentrants, finding a dummy control in one reentrant along the way.
12. 320m 20:09 10 +17:55 802% 13.2 15:29 1:02:58   4240m 1:32:34 10 +57:38 165% 21:49 And then the race really blew up. Eventually, I realised I'd over run control target after many relocations off river and parallel trail. Contours were just too busy for my skill level. Examining the map days later, I now see the park boundary line which I hadn't seen on map. Running into a posted sign might have saved this leg for me.
13. 210m 6:43 10 +5:11 338% 28.8 3:19 31:59   4450m 1:39:17 10 +1:02:49 172% 22:18
14. 200m 4:28 9 +2:49 171% 38.2 1:28 22:20   4650m 1:43:45 10 +1:05:30 171% 22:18
15. 340m 3:36 6 +1:16 54% 71.9 10:35   4990m 1:47:21 10 +1:06:46 165% 21:30 Even closing out the race, I sprinted out to a dummy control in the middle of the marsh on the way to my control on far edge of swamp.
16. 280m 1:54 5 +30 36% 87.4 6:47   5270m 1:49:15 10 +1:07:16 160% 20:43
17. 70m 19 9 +5 36% 77.2 4:31   5340m 1:49:34 10 +1:07:21 160% 20:31
