Tired understandably after last week's efforts. Never really sped up...just increased the amount of trotting along so splits were 17:40; 16:20; 14:21.

Slightly slower but felt way worse today. Will power.

2nd half: 11:20 pace.
6 AM
running long (Moderate NE breeze) 1:31:49 [4] 7.05 mi (13:01 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Bondi 8 grey/red-orange
Plodded along. Wasn't sure if I would be able to do 7 last night or even this morning but went out and was tired and beat up but just kept putting one foot in front of the other as the saying goes. At 5.5 a group of 3 ladies/girls (not sure of age) crossed intersection on other side of street I turned on. They had a 25 yard gap/lead on me.
Of course I had to catch up to them and that took about 200 yards or so...the good thing was it helped me push on that last 1.5M. I had been speeding up with the wind helping from 4.5M to 5.5M but no doubt I probably ran last 1.5M at least a minute faster as I crushed them into the sidewalk (kidding...no I'm not...kidding again).
1st 3.55M: 52:15.... 14:43 pace
2nd 3.5M: 39:34... 11:08 pace. Last 1.5M about 10:20 pace
6 AM
walk trot (Steady as she goes REST) 1:02:39 [3] 4.05 mi (15:28 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Gortex ATR 7 Challenger
Semi rest day. Cut mile off original goal. Kept walk n trot very short distances and slow pace until last mile then shuffled in. Mid 40's so 20 degrees colder than 2 days ago. OKC Murrah Building blown up 1995. 1993 Waco. 1775 scrimmage that Patriot Day is memorial for.
11 AM
