Ok, that was a decent run effort wise.
Decided to address the Kirsten challenge
On Saturday Kirsten caught me up during the last few legs. I thought she would stroll away from me as we ran along various bits of the ridge, but she didn't at all, she did, however power past me on the hills (whilst also getting diverted by vege and terrain a couple of times, which provided the opportunity to demonstrate her strength an my weakness three times).
So hills it is
(I've been conscious of this particularly wide gap in current vs former ability for a while)
Just steady running but either up or down.
Over Blackford, 3 times up Howe Dene, (slightly slow descent on steps after the first, then slightly rapid descent on my arse via the parallel field on the 2nd, then back to the steps for the 3rd). Back to Blackford
Built up a decent effort
enjoyed.

BOC
Oh dear
yeah some of it was me.
I know the area is constrained but the planning could have been better. Bethan's course was better.
Looking across rotegadget a lot of courses used the same legs. It felt like ours was an unimaginative stringing together of various legs, rather than a course.
Got a bit crag and fallen tree bound on rc to 2, it looked a decent choice, if I'd thought about it more I might have anticipated - but I learned my lesson
RC to 4 was fine - bit of a banana into the control. But why bypass a decent bit of terrain to a pile of grot when there was plenty of scope for route choice legs later on ?
Nothing challenging through to 8-
9, 10, 11 was a nice loop to bring in a bit of short leg nav, olny the fact that it involved steep climbing meant it was a slow and therefore simple process - or at least it should have been... wasted ages on 11 - took a "ride" through the rhodos behind 2 others and then bearing off - nothing. Looking at my GPS and the map the spur can't be right and the vege neither.. nor the original rhodos and "gaps " through. found 204 a couple of time - no idea it was by a knoll
The final section was tedious, At least I was awake enough not to go through the wrong gate - clowns. ;-)
I imagine Mr Conway found it all quite amusing, given that I caught him 4 times at least - lol
with the JK and this - I'venot been impressed by the course planning.
