Running with Sam and Presto at Tilden Park! We took Kenzie for a quick walk, and then headed to do the Quarry Trail look with Presto. It was pretty hot for Berkeley - upper 70s/lower 80s, and I was, once again, dying a horrible death. I had to walk the final bit of the uphill to Volmer Peak, and it was a huge relief to get to the water fountain at the steam trains. We all drank a ton of water, even Presto, which is atypical. We also wet down Presto and wet down our shirts, which improved everyone's enjoyment. I had to walk a bit more of the final uphill, but the run down was glorious as always, so at least I wasn't too wiped out for the downhill to be fun :-).

Normal stretching after eating another quarter melon while watching the world cup and before taking Presto and Kenzie for an exceedingly slow walk at Redwood park. It's so nice to have so many big parks nearby!

Running with Presto! We had a bunch of errandy things to do today, so I just got to sneak out in the evening for a quick run. It was still pretty warm for Berkeley - in the 70s - and Presto and I were both kind of dying. I think I was dehydrated from the day, as well, which definitely didn't help things. The downhill was still fun, though, and I was glad we managed to get out.

Running with Sam and Presto after lab! I took both dogs for a walk and then waited for Sam to get home from work before heading out on a run with only Presto. My back/hip thing had been feeling better today, but started hurting again after running. Grump. But then after stretching went away again. I am confused. Hopefully a weekend of not computering will be helpful. I'm trying to have really good posture at the computer, but it turns out my body isn't used to that sort of thing. I prefer to sit crosslegged or on my knees or something, and so other muscles are becoming tired. I guess I can always hope a return to mostly benchwork will magically fix everything :-).

Stretching 12:00 [3]

Normal stretching plus a bit more while watching a few of the NYTimes interviews with all the democratic presidential candidates. The NYT made these interviews as inconvenient as possible to watch. You have to individually click on each candidate answering each question, but we are trying to get through all of them. So far a few have been decent and a bunch have been content-free, which I guess is to be expected.
