Jogging 1:00:38 [3] 11.33 km (5:21 / km) +108m 5:06 / km

Something definitely not right, think both Kyhil & I have some kind of low-level lurgy. Don't have any cold symptoms but just absolutely zero energy, and not recovering. Kyhil didn't feel up to riding to work today (he rides every day). Have also been super hungry which is odd (more so than usual). If that is the case it makes me less annoyed about my aborted Sunday run.

Jogging 33:25 [2] 5.64 km (5:55 / km) +89m 5:29 / km

Another record - at this rate Kyhil & Lian will outstrip me in no time.

Jogging 39:28 [3] 8.09 km (4:53 / km) +32m 4:47 / km

Went to MUAC training but it was obvious in the first 10 steps that this wasn't going to be a session night for me. Did the 1-mile reps at a sort of fast jog, a social opportunity.

Cycling 30:33 [3]

Wahoo Systm: Recharger. Legs still v tired, thought this may be too wussy a session but when I got into it I realised that it was certainly enough for today.

Jogging 3:00:16 [3] 25.55 km (7:03 / km) +1235m 5:41 / km

Run at Macedon. Bit disappointed with this one. Had planned 35k as my last long run before the race, but couldn't get it done. Started feeling a bit off, but figured I would warm into it - started early, straight up the goat track and it was close to 0C so I thought I could only improve. But it didn't, and by the time I got to the Mt Towrong climb I was walking, and then shortly after that walking even small climbs. So I called for a pickup from Camel's Hump.

I guess my options were - keep going, and get a bit more confidence with the distance going into the race, but risk destroying myself and maybe not recovering very well in time, or be (hopefully) a bit more sensible and pull the pin. I'm clearly just not as recovered from last week as I thought I'd be.

Cycling 2:45:20 [3] 36.1 km (13.1 kph) +567m

Kyhil had an excellent idea - instead of sitting on the indoor trainer, we went and did 4 Candlebark laps - I can do these while never being >10min from the car. Did some PRs and had a lot of fun, surprised how tired I got towards the end though.

Note
(rest day)

Argh, it's been a frustrating week. Between fatigue, uni deadlines, and other commitments, I've missed a lot of sessions! Another one missed today, too tired to get up early after some on-call calls last night and guests over after work.
