A quick stop at the Nordic Centre for some drills.
It's so convenient to have such facility 10 minutes from home!
I stayed close to the lodge and skied back and forth, working on the technique.

Amik and I attempted to hike up Tunnel Mountain but we barely made it to the 2nd parking lot - so icy! So, we just walked around the closed Tunnel Rd.

Run from home, along the Three Sisters Rd, then down to the river but that was a mistake - lots of ice! I had to walk most of it. Went back on the road.
My foot started blistering in the same spot as I used to get in Salomon shoes...darn! That means the only ones that work are from the S-Lab collection....of course, the expensive ones! :)

Long run with Carbon, CO, Annie and her dog Lucy.
We started at the Goat Creek parking lot and run on the High Rockies trail, which was in great condition. Met up with 16 dogsled teams along the way. The dogs were tied up on both sides of the trail and we had to walk in the middle. The noise was unbelievable, as they were excited to see Lucy, I guess. Poor thing didn't know what to do with herself and Annie had to carry her through. At half-way point, we had a little celebration for Carbon (her birthday was last week).
Great run with great peeps!

Intervals on hill: up and down for 3 min then 2 min rest
Flat: 1min easy, 1min moderate and 1min hard - 2 min rest
Switching between the workouts, 5 times each.
