We will park at the Kellog environmental center, and the start and finish will be nearby.

For beginners and intermediate orienteers, there will be the usual white, yellow, orange courses. The advanced courses will run the Prologue and Chase, each course about 4km. The start order for the Chase will be based on the results of the Prologue, with the exact format to be determined on the spot. The Prologue and Chase courses are designed to have minimal overlap, and have quite distinct characters and go through rather different terrain types.

The website currently says that the start for the Chase will be at 1pm, but I might have to push that back until most people who are planning to run have finished the Prologue. Try to arrive on the early side so you have time to recover between the two races.

In addition to the official races, I would like to hold a very unofficial, not-WCOC-sanctioned Beer-O, with both an alcoholic and a "virgin" version available. Before committing to organizing it, I would like to see what sort of interest there is, so please let me know if you think you'd like to participate - this is in no way binding! (For those who don't know, a Beer-O works roughly like this: drink a beer, run a short orienteering course (<1km), drink another beer, repeat. These events are usually really social and fun, and we can follow up by some food and socializing afterwards.

Finally, to entice people to come from further away (hi CSU!), I will organize a training session on Ansonia on Saturday. If people want to come down for the weekend, they are welcome to crash with me in New Haven on Saturday night. Again, please let me know if you might be interested in Ansonia training and/or staying with me.
