Chase start winners (female - male):
Brown: Lyn Walker - George Walker

Red: Julia Doubson - Greg Ahlswede

Brown, Green, and Red courses were organized as Chase Start races with individual start times based on the results from WCOC’s NRE event the day before:

1. The course winner from the WCOC NRE event started first, and
2. The remaining runners started in the order they finished at the WCOC event with a compressed time interval equal to 50% of the time behind the course winner.
3. Mass start for all remaining runners 5 minutes after the first runner started. The mass start included both the remaining participants from the WCOC event and new runners.
4. The Blue and Red runners from the WCOC NRE race were combined into one Red course. WCOC NRE Red course winner started first, and Blue course winner started 6 minutes after the Red course leader. Mass start of remaining Blue runners 5 minutes after Blue course leader started.

The Green and Red courses had a ‘diamond forking’ on the course. The splits results above show an A and B course for Green and Red. The A and B courses were identical except for the sequence of controls in the diamond forking.
