Multi Sprint-O
Fast and furious? Slow and leisurely? Take your pick.

Sprint courses are short-ish and easy-ish (normally at an easy intermediate level). The idea for the competitive types is to run fast and orienteer accurately in order to be the fastest one to the finish. The idea for the rest of us is to enjoy the great outdoors, practice our orienteering skills, and point out to the competitive orienteers all the beautiful sights they missed along the way!

This particular event is designed to allow a great training opportunity for those wanting to practice their sprint-o skills; and a fun and different orienteering experience for the rest of us. Here's the way it works. The competitive crowd signs for the Fast and Furious - a series of four sprints with a 15 minute rest (timed!) between courses. Each course of approximately 2 km is expected to take them 10 to 20 minutes. There are two other options: Sign up for the Sunday Stroll - one 2 km course. Or if you want something in between, sign up for the Cunning Running - two sprint races of approximately 2 km with a 15 minute rest (still timed!) between courses.

Your final result will be the sum of the times of all the courses you do (one, two or four).

Remember - orienteering makes you smarter AND fitter!
