This is the first urban/sprint-only WOC under the new format separating sprint and forest WOCs (which began with the forest-only WOC in Norway in 2019).

Tentatively, Sprint WOC 2020 in Denmark has been rescheduled from July to October. A final decision as to whether the new dates can be held will be made by July 1. If CoViD-19 circumstances still prevent the holding of WOC on the new dates, the 2020 WOC will be cancelled and the Danish organizers will be offered the opportunity of holding the 2022 or 2024 Sprint WOC (depending on whether or not the 2022 organizers can shift to 2024).
