Teams of 2, 3 and 4 are welcome to participate.

Race Information:

12-16 hour race with a 16 hour cut-off.

Race will use Martin Dies Jr. State Park as the camping location.

Race will include:

Mountain biking ___ miles on single-track trails, dirt roads, paved roads;
Paddling ___ miles on flatwater and river;
Trekking/Hiking ___ miles;
Teams will be self-sufficient throughout entire race. Absolutely no outside assistance is allowed during the race, except from other teams. Outside assistance during the race will be grounds for disqualification.

Support crews are welcome, but can only assist their teams while in the main transition area.

USARA Sanctioning.

Each racer will be required to have a one-day, or annual USARA license. They are available for purchase at the race check-in. Please plan to pay for the USARA license separately from the normal race fees (i.e. two checks).

Race Schedule:

Friday, February 22, 2008 -- Race Check-in 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Friday, February 22, 2008 -- Mandatory, Pre-race meeting 8:30 pm.
Saturday, February 23, 2008 -- Race Start 12:00 am
Saturday, February 23, 2008 -- Race End 4:00 pm
Camping:

More details later, but primitive camping will be included in race fees.

Race Entry Fee ($100 / person if paid before pre-registration discount) Includes:

Race entry;
T-shirt (Only guaranteed for teams that register during Pre-registration period);
Entry/Use fee for all race locations;
Liability Insurance;
Post-race food;
Swag bag full of cool sponsor stuff;


Required Gear List:

Head Lamp for each racer;
Two glow sticks per boat (one on front, one on back);
Emergency strobe attached to PFD;
PFD for each racer;
Blinking red light for back of bike;
Optional: front light for bike (if you're happy w/ just head lamp, that's fine);
Canoe(s) or Kayak(s), non-motorized;

Pre-Registration Discount Deadline: Sunday, February 03, 2008

Teams are encouraged to register now. You may pay later, but must have money in by the pre-registration deadline to be eligible for the pre-registration discount offer.
Additionally, if the race sells out, teams that have not paid may be put on a waiting list, behind teams that have paid.
