This years BRAWL will take place in Marin, out of Fairfax (old school!). It will only involve biking and trekking/coasteering, and be a 24h event. I'll post more details as I set the course.

UPDATE:
The BRAWL will start at 8am from Deer Park in Fairfax. It will begin on bike, and the first leg should last between 6-8h for most teams. We will hand maps out at 7:30am, and be there at 7am. We suggest you do the same. You will need to find street parking somewhere in Fairfax where you can park overnight without risk of getting a ticket (so, plan this with your timing!).

We will allow each team to give us one duffle bag, that you will see at each TA.

At the first TA you will leave your bikes with us, and transition onto foot. You will see your duffle bag, so everything you leave with us must fit in your duffle bag, or be securely strapped to your bike.

The second leg will be on foot, and will take you most of the night (8-12h).

At the second TA you will transition back onto bike, and again will see your duffle bag.

The training event will end at 8am on Sunday at Deer Park in Fairfax (where you will pick up your duffle bag).

The event will be a typical format. There will be mandatory and optional CPs. This is so that all teams of varying skill/fitness levels can still get out there for 24h and be challenged.

As always, it's important that everyone realizes this is just a training event, and as such, we are not permitted. Be mindful of that, and if you run into any problems out there, be sure to explain to rangers you are just out training. There has been some buzz lately that the ranger activity in Marin is up, but we are doing our best to keep you away from the trouble areas.

If you are coming from out of town, reach out to the community to see if you can crash on someones floor. I'll be the first to offer up our floor in the Presidio (SF).
