There will be an ARDF training camp on May 30 and 31. Because the World Champs is now including Sprint ARDF and Fox O', the training camp is expected to include these events.

The primary sponsor of the Twelfth USA ARDF Championships is the Los Angeles Orienteering Club (LAOC). Chair of the organizers is Marvin Johnston KE6HTS.

Embargo Notice from Joe Moell, Feb 24, 2012:

The Laguna Mountain Recreation Area and surrounding wilderness areas are presently under embargo for 2012 USA ARDF Championships participants. If you plan to participate in these championships, you may not enter the forested areas there until the first competition day. This embargo is intended to prevent anyone from having an unfair advantage in the competition by virtue of having been in these woods recently.

The embargoed area includes all of the Descanso Ranger District of the Cleveland National Forest that is north of Interstate 8 and east of Cuyamaca Rancho State Park. The entire Cuyamaca Rancho State Park is also embargoed. However, it's OK to drive the public highways and go into towns such as Pine Valley and Mt. Laguna village.
