APers: I will be posting commentary about this upcoming race (checkin Thursday, June 9) on the Journey Racing Facebook page. Live coverage begins Thursday at 3pm MDT (GMT -6). Once the tracking page goes live I will include a link here.

The race director has requested that discussion of the race be held on the Facebook page, rather than here or elsewhere. Ability to demonstrate interest in the event in a consistent, sponsor-friendly location is important to garnering future sponsorship and supporting existing sponsors. If you are keen to discuss the event, please consider visiting the Facebook link above instead of (or in addition to) posting here.

I will visit this forum and cross-post juicy bits here and there, as I know there are plenty of you that are not Facebook users.

Looks good.

It's funny, we used to have a RD like that at one time but always thought the trick he was missing out on that while the FB and own website is where you want the visitors to come for conversion, it is the non-affiliated discussion fora that carry more weight in terms of Google ranking and feedback and it is from there that more trusting traffic can originate.

Congratulations to Team Fitzgerald's Bicycles / Adventure Medical Kits with racers Abby Broughton, Jason Popilsky (jpopilsky), and Kyle Peter (KyleRPeter) for their win today in the inaugural Nomad 48 hr AR, in the Pike's Peak / Arkansas River area of Colorado.

Shout out to race organizers Journey Racing for a splendidly well designed and organized event. Everyone had fun and racers at all levels seemed to be appropriately challenged and entertained. Great job, Chelsea Luttrall! (chelsealuttrall) with the race directorship and James Luttrall (jamesluttrall) with media cat-herding and general race PR direction.
