Has anyone taken part in a stress test following an expedition race? Curious to see how mine will play out 3 days post-UNE.

Is it a stress test testing the effects of expedition racing on athletes? I've had a couple of stress tests where they kept my heart rate so low that I was still comfortably aerobic. These tests weren't aimed at athletes so they were crazy cautious and probably learned nothing much.

It's part of a medical for a job (fire) so I don't know what protocol they will be using. If I had a baseline it would be good to compare them.

The stress test I did was not aimed at athletes and only allowed me to reach a max HR of (220-age) X 0.85. So if your AP birth year is correct, that would mean low 160s for you. Because my max HR doesn't correlate well with the age formula (like many people), it was not terribly stressful. Maybe for firefighting, the docs would be willing to push you a little harder! :)

I'll take a pass on being pushed harder right after UNE :) In college, I believe that was the same format we used when conducting stress tests.
