Alone... Do you have any tips on workouts/interval sets that I could do to gain speed?

Very solid run. Although it may not be a lightning fast time on the spectrum of fast 3k times its a PR which means you are making progress and doing things you never where able to do before. That's awesome!! Looks like the 200m's are the hard ones for you. I will be at the Spring lake meet this weekend lets talk about some things to increase your raw speed.
A good book with specific training programs: Daniel's Running Formula.
Thank you; we recently ordered a copy of Jack Daniels's book, and I'll be looking through it for inspiration and advice. I agree that the 200s were the hardest for me in this specific workout, and that I need to do something to get faster. Regular interval training has definitely helped, and I'll probably try doing some of Daniels's sets in the coming weeks...
