At Trapps this week with Ed D setting secondary trails and controls. Excellent snow conditions: 1-1/2 to 2' solid base with a couple inches of wet fresh snow on top. Preliminary trail work now, but final grooming will occur after Wednesday's snow storm. Trapp's staff helping to prepare an outstanding event in a beautiful setting!
I think we will have to dig out those controls. 2 ft of snow on top of it?
Wednesday night's snowfall totaled about 18". Roads cleared, trails packed. Cold today and tonight, warming into the high 20's tomorrow.
I am so looking forward to this.
Wonderful to have lots of snow for the event! Good luck to all the competitors. Supposed to be good weather through the weekend and thank you all volunteers for all your help.
It looks like Ed has the sprint and middle splits up already:

Splits are up on Attackpoint. Class results will come after I finish prepping all the forking variations for tomorrow. PDF maps will be available online as soon as the races are finished.
WRE points have already been posted:

The womens sprint still needs to be corrected to take into account rule 2.16, which was applied to the other 3 races.
Ahh yes, rule 2.16. I was wondering if it would be taken into account.
Well, that took some hunting around. The is no US Ski-O rule 2.16, nor IOF Ski-O Rule 2.16, but there is a Special Rule for Ski Orienteering World Ranking Events:
2.16 If the race doesn't have enough ranked skiers, but still has at least four skiers within winner's time + 50%, the points will be awarded with MP = 700 and SP = 100. However maximum points for that kind of competition are 1000.
