Gee, really?:). Sounds like sound advice.
That's what doctors are good at, no?
Can't wait till the interdiction is lifted!
Well, it was only an advisory and not mandatory.
Might try landing on the other shoulder to even things up a bit. Seriously, hope you heal quickly!
Thanks. Unfortunately, the other shoulder went thru rotator cuff surgery 15 years ago and probably wouldn't like ground contact much either.
Bummer. You need to be on skis. Heal; and do NOT split wood!
What we need are Air Bags for runners. Units to protect: face*, shoulders, ribs, knees*, etc.
* I really would loved to have had one. But not likely to protect me from ripping an Achilles last year :-((.
When I started roller skiing, I wore skate board crash pad shorts for 2 years to protect my hips. I figured road rash will heal and knees aren't likely to get hit in a roller ski fall. Elbows could be a problem, but I really didn't want to bust a hip. Now I just use running shorts and gloves with wrist support, and of course a helmet. Seems okay, although I did break my wrist last year when a wheel fell off.
Achilles -- got to stretch the calves and hamstrings!
Wheel coming off - a new ouch. Bare ground is dangerous. Period! Snow is nice.
Calf of rupture foot is still meager.
