Discussion: Baggage

Are you usually not carrying anything or just using panniers? I personally prefer a backpack over panniers but I do prefer riding without a pack. Doesn't happen often though.

Panniers all the way, whenever possible - hardly ever go anywhere without at least one, though I did go downtown today with just a messenger bag since the National Gallery doesn't force you to check those. Wasn't practical to have them with me afer work all evening until it was time to ride home on this occasion.
