Congrats to your team. Love to race against Alpine, enjoyed it.
When we after the 34 sunday morning, we actually were likely within 100-150 m of it the very first attack. There was a reeentrant that I mis-read, I think the 1:25 map threw me off my game at night. So during the race, we came at it from different directions and the reentrants/spines/ridges just confused us.
Also just fyi....when you guy's went after 31 (your last cp), I can totally see why you had trouble with it. Kpoire and I marched it out very carefully several times during the day and initally couldn't find it and we were 100 % sure of our location. We re-plotted and continued to look. We saw your tracks several times. IMO, he did not have it correctly on the map. It was about 100 meter south of what the plot showed, and not in the open, although it was on what I think one might describe very iffy technically a spur. In retrospect, at night this would have been an very easy miss.
Also, when we missed 25 (2nd to last trek) we plotted and re-plotted it in a reentrant btwn two spurs, and the clue and location of cp was on a spur....100 meters off.

Every time I've done Mission, there has been at least 1 control badly misplaced.
