Don't worry about your legs, you need your arms for swimming and paddling! Conversely I will let my arms wither and die to train my legs up for Augusta Smashfest.
No you're not tRicky. You're coming paddle training with me :)
What arms have you?
I have to use my legs if I'm going to shift 5kg of uncessary VO2 lowering bodyfat prior to the event!
uncessary? unfit for a cess pit?
What is it with athletes and wanting to lose weight?????!? Don't be stupid man. Just train to be strong, don't fash-yourself about losing 5kgs.
Amended.
I have to use my legs if I'm going to shift 5kg of uncessary VO2-lowering body fat prior to the event
You know you're in trouble when Shane spots a spelling error.
I have to lose 7-8kg if I'm going to run a marathon in a good time.
Amended. Again.
I have to use my legs if I'm going to shift 5kg of not needed VO2-lowering body fat prior to the event.
Shouldn't the VO2 thingy have a little dot somewhere to indicate it is a rate?
Juffy's closer than I could be bothered, just missing the superior dot above the Capital V.
errr....really? V is just 'volume', isn't it?
But it is volume per something, the dot means rate
V is for Vicks. If you put it on your chest, it helps you better inhale the O2.
Volume of oxygen consumed per kg per minute, MTBjen is correct.
VO2 max is expressed either as an absolute rate in litres of oxygen per minute (L/min) or as a relative rate in millilitres of oxygen per kilogram of bodyweight per minute (mL/kg/min). (wikipedia)
Normally has a dot on it - but it doesn't seem to on the www.
