Do it, just joine one two weeks ago and already feeling the benefits, it's better to have people to chase as well, plus the sessions are usually a lot more structured.

The best training is the training that you do, rather than the training that you miss. If joining Southampton AC will provide motivation to get out there and push yourself, do it. Remember though that novelty is a motivator; if the sessions are much more awkward to get to than Hardley then the danger is that once the novelty has worn off, the difficulty of the journey will become off-putting.
There's nothing to stop you joining more than one club, although if you start racing for them you need to be careful about first- and second-claim status. I'm first-claim Headington for XC (and road, if I ever do any), but Headington isn't registered for track & field so I'm first-claim Abingdon for that (and second-claim Abingdon for XC).
The membership secretary will know the rules, and I think that juniors have more flexibility than seniors.

I will do the sessions at either it's just whether i'd get more out of the one's at southampton athletics because there would be more people and there are loads of groups - http://www.teamsouthampton.co.uk/training/index.ht...
Also I'm not sure Hardley is registered for athletics or hampshire league xc and i think it would be good to get some of them in.
I'll think about it.
