Tooms - photo 3 was only 6km or so into the first run. There were some way more brutal hills on the second run. Steeper and much longer. And seeing as I was shot to bits and the last 4km were almost entirely downhill, I think that's where the foot-slapping downhill style did the damage.
There's no way in the world I was wearing anything under the bib for the second run. I cooked as it was. And the thing that looks like a number belt has a drink bottle on the back (or is that normal for triathletes too? - I wouldn't know...
I'll be interested to see what they got off the last team run and the finish line. That's where we were at our finest...
