Discussion: Good job, goats

I was volunteering and racing around the course all day/night and was at CP7 ~3:30 am picking up another team (12) to take back to HQ. We could tell you were close, so I was hanging around to see if you would keep going or not. Your SPOT track showed you went on to try and find CP6, so we figured you weren't done so I headed back up to pick up another team at CP9. Incidentally, I was also the guy swimming when you came off the water by the finish line. Good report and good job for you guys for pressing on.

Wilberto - thanks for the words, we tried really hard to find CP6 but it alluded us! either the sleep demons moved it, or it was the same old adage, when you think you have gone far enough, you haven't! I think had we attacked it from the north side as we were supposed to we would have hit it easily but coming from the south up that cottage road we just didn't go far enough.

It was nice to see a smiling face in the water waiting for us though!! and thanks for chatting with that older lady, I just didn't have the energy to explain the race to her!
