Where can we get updates? Even the Technu fb page is limited and stale.

The American Adventure Sports facebook page said to check out twitter for updates @ameradsports.

looks like Salomon (SRF) is chasing Technu hard but SRF skipped one optional CP so definite adv Technu.

I really hope they finish 1-2!! ... no offense to anyone else I might know who's racing :-)

Looks like the final ranking was just that FB! I wonder how far apart they were.

I can't on Twitter. Does anyone know the split between 1st and 2nd? Or, was it a result of a final section with 'get as many optional CPs before time's up' type of thing?

I read on FB that Salomon/RF skipped an optional CP earlier in the race. I'm not sure if the format is the same but last year we had groups of optional CPs in several areas along the course. We didn't get those maps until we got to each area so we didn't have enough information in advance to make good decisions about whether to drop CPs. (JayXC and Sony will tell you not to listen to my guesses about which optional CPs to visit!)

So, we finished 2nd, having gotten 2 less CPs than Technu. It was a full Rogaine style race in which you had 10 mandatory CPs and within each of those sections there were a number of optional CPs. We actually mistakenly missed a CP early on in the race, but the organizer didn't think the course was clearable so we weren't too worried about it. We skipped another CP later that, in retrospect we may have had time to go get - it was a very long climb (out and back) on the bikes, but we found out later it was on a nicely paved road. All in all we had a good race and good fun. I believe Harps will be writing a race report.
