Now you've made me want to come! But that is a long drive for a day trip.

My opinion should be interpreted in context: I was afraid the map would be worthless and the woods trashy and impassable. To find moderately interesting, passable, and even pleasant terrain was a delight.

There is no O' at all here though for the rest of the summer, excepting Charlie's awesome picnic. So that's my context.

Good for you to give Ponkapoag a try. I haven't run in the woods there in a long time. You seem to indicate they are better than I remember, it retrospect though, you are right, there are few briars.

You might want to hide your GPS route. You are giving the course away...

Yeah, shrug. I suppose I could conceal it; I figured it wouldn't be critical, as it's a local meet, and the competitors are diligent about adhering to the honor system.

Who is to say my GPS track isn't synthetic data, or that the controls aren't taken in a different order than they are on the course?

Whenever I think of Ponkapoag, I can't shake the memory of the most brutal Traverse ever, which started on that map. The course would have been fine if not for the frigid pouring rain. (This despite the fact that I've orienteered on that map several other times.)
