Shut up. How did Debra Lethdridge get a 51 minute first leg?

Good question - I'll investigate.

What was with #8 - lots of errors in the lower part of the list there?

Debra is also not in the 'official' results.

Tooms - it was shown on a building corner but the corner in question had an upper level and a lower level. A lot of people (myself included) must have gone to the upper level first. The description stated lower but who reads descriptions?

The description was 'Lower Building Pass-through, N corner'. The map showed an underpass, but admittedly it's difficult to see on the run with sweat in your eyes, which was why I emphasised it with the description 'lower'. tRicky how do you know you are punching the correct control if you don't read your descriptions?

Because I'm at the centre of the control circle and there's a control there.

I seem to recall you mp'ed the first control at Curtin last year. Did you not read your control descriptions?

You were at the centre of the control circle and there was no control there - it was 5m below you! Would you go to the top of a 5m cliff to look for a control that was at the foot?

Have you never found yourself at the centre of the wrong control circle? That's what I did at Curtin, the description for both controls was the same (Fence corner) and the box was upside down so I couldn't see the number. Thought about turning it over, but somebody was waiting to punch behind me, so I just punched it and ran off.

Deb L didn't punch the start, so the system assumed she started at zero and gave her the event time (51 minutes) at the first control. According to the start sheet she would have taken about 1:30 to the first control, and 42 mins for the course.

What I meant was I'm at the centre of the circle and the control I'm looking for is there. If there's no control then I'm not at the centre of the circle am I?

Hmm, delayed response.
